Together We Rise Above

Soida Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded to liberate and empower women through education, fighting against Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and forced marriage, eradicating period poverty, as well as elevating menstrual hygiene through provision of sanitary towels and necessities.

Girls as young as 7 years old are forced under the knife and married off to old men.

This roots in old traditions, unwelcomed in this new age.

Join us in giving them a second chance at life

Due to economic violence, women in certain regions are denied the right to work, and men withhold funds necessary for managing their natural and unavoidable circumstances.

Leading to desperate resort, and makeshift solutions for menstrual hygiene—using tissue, chicken feathers, cloth, socks, old blankets, or even resorting to sharing and washing used disposable pads they manage to find.

Currently, we proudly support two ambitious girls in high school: we understand the transformative power of education and are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Join us in this journey of empowerment. Together, we can ensure that education becomes a source of strength, resilience, and endless possibilities for every child.

Reality is that young boys find themselves obligated to contribute to their family’s needs through labor, at the expense of their education. We recognise the untapped potential within these at-risk boys.

Our focus extends beyond the present challenges, aiming to shape the future by empowering these boys to become understanding, strong, and caring men. Through mentorship, educational resources, and community engagement, we strive to break the cycle that limits their potential.

we believe in the transformative power of nurturing diverse talents. From the creative artists, musicians, and dancers to the dynamic world of sports encompassing football & athletics…

We recognize that every talent is a potential gateway to a world of opportunities- we actively strive to open doors for scholarships and income sources for talented individuals. We invite you to join our cause by volunteering your skills and expertise!

Bridging the gap by lending a hand

We are friends and family to the brothers and sisters of the Soida Foundation. In times of need, we show up not merely as allies but as companions—given those close to them betrayed them.

Life’s journey becomes lighter when shared with understanding friends who stand by your side. Together, we bridge the gaps, mend the wounds, and empower each other to rise above adversity.

Our Mission

We are committed to this mission through three pillars—education, mental health advocacy, and essential support. We envision a world where every individual not only survives but thrives, regardless of past hardships.

Our Vision

Our vision propels us forward: we imagine a future where every survivor of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), child marriage, and at-risk orphanhood is embraced by unwavering support. A future that upholds access to quality education, comprehensive mental health care, while ensuring their holistic well-being. We strive to create a world where survivors not only overcome their challenges but emerge as resilient, empowered individuals.

“We may not have had a say in the lives we were given, and the circumstances you see here and beyond might have been yours just as easily. Therefore, in the essence of our shared humanity, let’s offer kindness from our perspective and witness the transformation of the world into a brighter place.”
